A celebrant wedding is a non-legally binding ceremony led by a professional celebrant. These officiants are trained to design personalised, meaningful ceremonies from scratch; centred around your love story, values, and personality.
Unlike religious or civil ceremonies, there are no legal scripts or venue limitations. That means you can include personal vows, music, readings, rituals, or cultural traditions that matter to you- with full freedom over style, tone, and content.
Is It Legally Recognised?
Not in England and Wales- at least not yet. Most couples who choose a celebrant wedding will legally register their marriage separately, typically by signing documents at a local register office with two witnesses. This process is simple and low-cost, and it frees you up to make your actual ceremony day exactly what you want it to be.
Where Can a Celebrant Ceremony Take Place?
Anywhere. With no licensing restrictions, you can get married in a ballroom, under a tree, by a lake, or inside a historic hall.
At Froyle Park, the two most popular locations for celebrant ceremonies are:
- The Dome A breathtakingly romantic outdoor setting framed by formal gardens, an ornate fountain and countryside views
- The Great Hall An atmospheric Jacobean interior with oak panelling, crystal chandeliers, and a sweeping red staircase
You can also host your celebration in our Grand Ballroom, The Drawing Room or on the terrace; the choice is yours.
