In accordance with Froyle Park’s Noise Management Plan, we wish to make nearby residents aware of occasions when short dhol drumming performances are scheduled to take place at the venue.
Outdoor dhol performances may take place for a maximum duration of 10 minutes between the hours of 11:00am and 6:00pm. Only one outdoor performance is permitted per day. All performances are strictly time-controlled, stopwatch-timed by the Froyle Park management team, and form part of a self-imposed management approach adopted by the venue, with a maximum of 50 performances per calendar year.
All dhol performances take place at the front of the property and are supervised by staff wearing body-cameras. Care is taken at all times to ensure that Ryebridge Lane remains clear and unencumbered, with appropriate management of guests and activity in the area.
The management team at Froyle Park has also prohibited the playing of dhol drums during any regular church service at St Mary’s Church, in order to prevent any disruption to services.
This page is updated weekly. Wherever possible, scheduled performances will be published at least one month in advance, although there may be instances where arrangements are confirmed at shorter notice.
Should you wish to raise a concern or make contact during a performance window, the venue operates a direct contact line for residents. Calls and texts are welcomed, and we will always endeavour to respond promptly and constructively.
